After hurricane Irma, most everyone was getting tired of the color brown - A quote from the journal entry written three weeks after Irma: “Brown has never been my favorite color. I don’t even think it is a color”. Here we are 11 months later, nature’s awesome ability has turned rain and sunshine into blossoms, and the colors of a rainbow. True tropical wonders … the rainbow eucalyptus bark and the banana bloom. They caught my eye, distracted me slightly; made me linger.
“Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will ensure as long as life lasts. There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature - the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after winter.” ― Rachel Carson, Silent Spring
