“I’ve got a great relationship with the fish… they don’t come on my land and I don’t go in their water.” Carol Ellis
That may sound strange being that we live surrounded by water on an island in the Florida Keys. Not if you consider the story, thirty plus years ago, of this former yacht crew, who spent five years, wintering in the Caribbean with summers in the Med, and not to mention navigating seven transatlantic crossings. Experimentation, a fair lack of supervision and an invincibility that comes only with youth, found us jumping off boats at midnight in shark infested waters. As we still have all our fingers and toes intact, we decided better quit while we’re ahead. So as not to disappoint our underwater aficionados, these fish themed photographs are inspired by a hanging mobile of ceramic fish. With the use of a little color, we have created a playful vision of our beloved Caribbean blue waters, and the cool toned black and white images, portray the rhythm of life beneath the sea. Created with the Hasselblad… these images are truly “wall - inspiring”. View more colorized fish in the “Colorized/Infrared/BW Portfolio"
